Can’t seem to shake this Jay-Z bug I have.  Everything I’ve tried has not shaken it. Has anyone else been having problems with trying to get away from the Blueprint 3? It’s cocky, it’s real, it’s Jay-Z at his best.  It’s late and random thoughts keep occuring. Check it out and hear it for yourselves. You will not be disapointed.

A topic debated for decades now. Personally, I’d give the edge to Pearl Jam. They just keep producing albums and never seem to sell out. Nirvana, on the other hand, is overrated. Granted they pretty much helped kick open the doors publicly to grunge, their music isn’t as good as PJ’s. The overall consensus leans towards Nirvana however. I guess another poll for another time would be “Would Nirvana be considered the Top Grunge Band if Kurt Cobain Never blew his brains out??????”   Think about it. Anyways, it would have been nice to see a dangerous performance lastnight at the American Music Awards, but I was let down again of yet another year of lackluster hip-hop lip sync acts. I’m wearing my worn down flannel shirt right now…peace out….

What exactly is a “collie man”? Off of the “Live and Direct” cd, this song delivers to all listeners. Relaxing, simple, and re-list-en-able. A Californian band with a great mix of acoustic, reggae, blues, rock, hip-hop, and funk, check them out.

lyrics

And some man live his life
For profits alone
That very same man
He lives his life all alone
And the road to life
Yes it goes up and down
Doesn’t really matter
As long as the music goes on
Hey mister collie man
Why don’t you come round no more
Hey mister collie collie man
Don’t you hear me troubled call
Hey mister collie man
Look i didn’t come to disturb
You best not be come ’round here
Unless you’ve got me sensi herb
I never needed any
Reason for me to say
Through all them troubled times
Yes me love you any way
And the roughest path
You know the rocky rocky road
You know that
Life and love is a
Heavy heavy load
Hey mister collie man
Why don’t you come ’round no more
Hey mister collie collie man
Dont you hear me troubled call
Hey mister collie man
Look i didn’t come to disturb
You best not be come round here
Unless you’ve got me sensi herb
You best not be come round here
Unless you’ve got me sensi herb

You may have seen him a few years back on the show Intervention. Then struggling with his crystal meth addiction, Travis looked like death. A still young rockstar, with no money and his only goal to find out how to get his next high. Imagine being as successul as him and having to go back home to live with his mom. Was a sad episode to watch. This guy was 17 years old with hits such as “Shelf in the Room” and “Touch Peel and Stand” and he pissed it all away. Nonetheless, rumors in the industry say he’s planing a comeback album, but is it too late? This song here, “Die Born” Is off of the Days of the New III album and was by far my favorite track. You can tell from the video how much his drug abuse has taken a toll on his appearance. Nonetheless, an amazing song and in some way kind of inspiring. In college, I even tried to get this tune as background music to a highlight end-of-the-year film, but the geeks who were editing the video didn’t think it was upbeat enough. Fuckin idiots!
